This was hastily sketched when the guests had just arrived and Dick came out of the castle to greet them. He was immediately surrounded and I seized the moment to draw him when he was static - albeit constantly turning his head while holding court with the guests. Although such a genial character deserves a proper masterpiece, he liked it so I was okay.
