Wedding entertainment is great for me as relatives look like one another, making my job easier. Family members also know each other's personality traits incredibly well, so they appreciate how I bring the real characters out from behind the fabulous fascinators & fancy floral boutonnières.
Each wedding reception party is utterly unique...although they do tend to run a little bit late. After having provided wedding entertainment at well over a thousand of them over 22 years, this is how I often work ~
After the ceremony (if there has been one) I start sketching during drinks - at this point the bride & groom are often away busy with photos, and I can help prevent a sense of a "lull" occurring.
I lend a "fun factor" to wedding breakfasts by sketching table-to-table, handing the sketches out as I go. The guests love it - laughter - the greatest icebreaker of all - instead of just the mundane pleasure of eating whilst perhaps being sat stuck amongst tortuously bashful guests.
If there are speeches I tend to take a break, but if required I can discretely do particularly candid sketches. Once the "formalities" are over and the atmosphere becomes "jolly" I'm in high demand as a provider of wedding party entertainment when guests realise they can get a jolly good laugh out of the sketches.
So...be it a lavish extravaganza, or small wedding entertainment hire you require, (corny line coming up*...here we go ~)
"Mr Sketchum brings special smiles to your special day!" (*told you)
The wedding couple can have their sketch done at any point that suits, and I can also ensure certain family members/guests of their choice are prioritised, or concentrate on the top table - just point me in the right direction.
"Mr Sketchum came to sketch at our wedding. He got along with everyone so well that some of our guests thought that he was a friend of ours!"

Wedding entertainment hire has obviously been hugely affected by the coronavirus - but I can still sketch! What is do is especially well-suited to small wedding entertainment - Please see my Covid update here
"Two aerials met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent."
